a thunderstorm passed over our house today, once the sun was out again I took these shots.
this is a close-up of a pine after the same rainstorm.
these were taken mid-november 2005 in northern Idaho. the sun was setting and I was testing out my new canon.
I found that midnight was a better posting time for me, so the rest of my posts at least for the summer will be posted at 12:00 AM (pacific standard time).
this was taken at a grand canyon viewpoint early in the morning. We caught the sun rise with my grandma and grandpa(Don Wiley).

this week when we were out exercising the new horse, I found a spot where our neighbors house wasn't in the way of the trees or the sunset.
back up ind Canada this is a picture of Mt. Rundle near Banff Alberta. Mount rundle is 9,338 ft above sea level, (2,948 meters)
the second one was taken on the river that led out to a nearby lake. You can still see mt. rundle peaking over the trees.
a stack of hay collapsed into the barn door, right after they were delivered. getting the 120 pound bails closer to their final destination.

these are two license plates we have hanging in our barn for decoration, they just happen to be the two non-contiguous states Alaska and Hawaii.
These are some rocks along the southern rim of the grand canyon, taken in my families vacation there, spring break(first week in April)2006. have a nice weekend!

an old road closed sign hanging in our barn. I found that using the flash made the sign stand out very well.
if you look closely there is a little bit of snow on this tree from the recent snowfall, the elevation at this viewpoint was around 8,000 providing a vast difference in climate from the top compared to the bottom.
These are pictures of the pend oreille river, taken earlier this month. I thought a grayscale look was more interesting. the pilings were once used for logging.
